
TOKYO EXPERIENCE

The aquarium is located on the fifth and sixth floors of Tokyo Skytree Town®. Among the most popular attractions are the Tokyo Big Tank reproducing the sea around the Ogasawara Islands and the Indoor Open Pool Tank for close-up observation of penguins and seals. The aquarium also holds many special events in each season.


Dedicated to Kannon Bosatsu (Kannon Bodhisattva), it’s the oldest temple in Tokyo. The main sightseeing spots are the Kaminari-mon Gate famous for its large paper lanterns, the Nakamise Shopping street that connects Kaminari-mon Gate to Senso-ji Temple and the Niten-mon Gate containing important cultural properties.

This is a workshop designated by Sumida City. It is a place where you can experience traditional “Edo Kiriko” glass cutting conducted by a long-established 100-year old glass craft company. Permanently on exhibit, and also on sale, are approximately 350 items, including original designs related to Tokyo Skytree®. You can also try your hand at traditional glass cutting to create your own original piece of glass art. (Reservations required.)


Hirota Glass Co., Ltd. is a historic Japanese glass manufacturer founded in 1899. The Sumida Japanese Glass Museum was established as an exhibition room to display valuable glass products and materials of Tokyo and Japanese glass, which have been stored by this company since its establishment. Visitors are sure to be captivated by the colorful and beautiful Japanese glassware inspired by designs from the Taisho and Showa periods.

Koganeyu was founded in Taihei, Sumida Ward in 1932 before the war. Since then, for nearly a century, we have been running a public bath that is responsible for the public health of the local people.
It is a sister store of “Daikokuyu”, a sento representative of Tokyo’s downtown area
